A study assessed the safety and efficacy of polyadenosine diphosphate-ribose polymerase inhibitors (PARPi) in treating BRCA-mutated breast cancer. 3610 patients were analyzed, and results revealed that PARPi therapy significantly improved progression-free survival and overall survival. Safety analysis indicated no statistically significant difference in adverse events between PARPi and chemotherapy or combined PARPi and chemotherapy. This review underscores PARPi as effective for BRCA-mutated breast cancer, enhancing survival outcomes without significantly elevating the overall risk of adverse events.
