The systematic review and meta-analysis examined bulk RNA sequencing studies comparing Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients to controls. Of 3,266 records, 24 met review criteria, and one study with three datasets qualified for meta-analysis. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) included CLU and GFAP, suggesting developmental process reactivation in AD. Limited data highlight the need for rigorous transcriptomic research to advance biomarker and therapeutic discovery.
