MicroRNA-93 and microRNA-412-3p are upregulated in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) compared to Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) and healthy controls. Their expression levels show strong potential as diagnostic markers and may indicate the oncogenic potential of OLP. The study suggests that these microRNAs could serve as reliable biomarkers for both disease detection and monitoring malignant transformation in OLP patients.
