Extracellular vesicles (EVs) shed by tumors offer a window into metastatic prostate cancer (mPC) through genomic and transcriptomic analysis. Research using EV-DNA and EV-RNA from mPC models and patient cohorts under therapy reveals significant tumor material presence, mirroring biopsy, and circulating tumor DNA findings. A new method, RExCuE, enables EV-RNA transcriptomic profiling, highlighting enriched tumor-associated transcripts and therapeutic adaptation insights. This study underscores EVs' potential for non-invasive mPC genomics and transcriptomics monitoring, aiding in treatment response assessment and clinical progression prediction.
