In the randomized controlled trial, sleep-deprived adolescents who received a group-based motivational intervention with text reminders showed earlier bedtimes, longer weekday sleep duration, and improved alertness compared to controls. Improvements were sustained for up to 6 months. These findings support a tailored, motivational approach as an effective strategy to improve adolescent sleep behaviors.
