The study in New Zealand explores the relationship between multimorbidity and urinary incontinence (UI) in community-dwelling older adults with complex needs, analyzing data from 2012 to 2020. Of the 140,401 participants, 42.2% of females and 32.9% of males reported UI. Those with multimorbidity (≥2 chronic conditions) had a higher prevalence of UI, with a modest increase in prevalence ratios for both sexes. The study highlights challenges in capturing all relevant chronic conditions, emphasizing the need for more comprehensive epidemiological investigations into multimorbidity's impact on UI.
