Musculoskeletal Pain Prevalent in Adults with Cystic Fibrosis

As reported by 489 patients, musculoskeletal symptoms affected 49% of adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) in the past year. Back pain (44%) and knee pain (50% within a year) were most common. Inflammatory arthritis was rare, suggesting other causes of musculoskeletal pain. Targeted strategies are needed to manage these symptoms.
