Neoadjuvant pembrolizumab shows promise in MSI-H/dMMR solid tumours

Patients with metastatic microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) or deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) solid tumors are more likely to derive benefit from immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) than their non-MSI-H/dMMR counterparts. However, whether such patients derive more significant benefits from these agents in the neoadjuvant setting remains uncertain. Now, data from a single-arm phase II study support using ICI pembrolizumab as neoadjuvant therapy in these patients.
