A study evaluated the discriminative capacity of four noninvasive methods for ICH diagnosis. Data from ICU patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, intraparenchymal hemorrhage, and ischemic stroke who had invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring were collected. The noninvasive techniques—optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD), pulsatility index (PI), brain Computed Tomography (CT) scale, and parameters from a noninvasive ICP wave morphology monitor—were assessed. In total, 18 patients and 60 occasions were studied. A significant correlation existed between all noninvasive techniques and invasive ICP. The combination of these techniques yielded an improved ability to diagnose ICH. This study highlights the need for further research to optimize noninvasive ICP measurement across different clinical scenarios.
