The study assessed the publication and selective outcome reporting bias in the field of oral health by analyzing oral health trials registered on ClinicalTrials.gov between 2006 and 2016. Out of 1,399 trials, only 56.7% were published, and over 44% of published trials had primary outcomes that differed from those registered. Trials conducted in the United States or Brazil had increased odds of publication, while prospective registration and industry sponsorship were associated with decreased odds of publication. These findings highlight the need for improved transparency in oral health research and better dissemination of trial results.

Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.

Cyclosporine 0.09% and 0.1% ranked highest for corneal staining improvement, while tacrolimus showed early improvements in tear production and stability. Varenicline increased tear production but needs further comparative validation.
