The complications varied, with atypical features like sequential optic neuropathy and progressive vision loss. While a causal link between these drugs and the complications couldn't be confirmed, the rapid correction of hyperglycemia may be a contributing factor.

A retrospective study of 161 adults found that plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) improved early soft tissue healing after endodontic surgery when used alone.
