The single-center trial compared oral health-related quality of life (OHRQOL), adaptation, and discomfort during anterior open bite (AOB) treatment with lingual spurs and build-ups (SBU) versus spurs only (S) approaches in children aged 7–11 years. CPQ8–10 and visual analog scale (VAS) were used to assess OHRQOL, adaptation, and discomfort at 1 and 12 months post-appliance installation. Regardless of treatment type, OHRQOL scores decreased by approximately 31% at 12 months. Significant improvement in functional limitations was noted in the S group. Children adapted easily to both treatments, with decreased discomfort over time. Overall, OHRQOL improved throughout the AOB treatment.
