Analyzing a large dataset, they identified biomarkers, including diphenyl phosphate (DPHP) and dibutyl phosphate/di-isobutyl phosphate (DBUP/DIBP), associated with higher odds of preterm birth. Sex-specific effects were observed, with females more affected by DPHP and bis(2-chloroethyl) phosphate. Detectable levels of bis(1-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate, bis(2-methylphenyl) phosphate, and dipropyl phosphate correlated with higher birth weight-for-gestational-age z-scores. A randomized trial in 709 children with newly diagnosed high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia found that replacing two cycles of conventional chemotherapy with blinatumomab increased estimated 4-year event-free survival to 83.0% versus 70.3%. Treatment-related infections and life-threatening adverse events were also less frequent, although neurotoxic events were more common with blinatumomab.
