Oxymetazoline 1% Cream Effectively Reduces Rosacea-Associated Facial Redness

A recent study evaluated the efficacy and safety of oxymetazoline 1% cream in treating mild to moderate facial rosacea. Fifteen patients applied the cream twice daily for four weeks. Significant reductions were observed in both clinician's erythema assessment and patients' self-assessment scores (p=0.001). Additionally, the erythema index decreased notably (p=0.001), and capillaroscopic analysis showed reduced telangiectasia. No adverse effects were reported, confirming the treatment's safety and effectiveness.
