
A recent study comparing the efficacy of diode laser and gas ozone in treating dentin hypersensitivity (DHS) revealed promising results. Both treatments led to a significant decrease in DHS immediately and at 3 and 6 months post-therapy. However, after 6 months, teeth treated with gas ozone maintained lower sensitivity levels compared to those treated with diode lasers (p<0.05). The findings suggest that while both methods are effective, gas ozone demonstrates sustained effectiveness over a longer period, making it a potentially superior option for DHS treatment."
