The study revealed that significant renal comorbidities, age, warm ischaemia (reduced blood flow), and ipsilateral parenchymal atrophy (tissue loss) were independent predictors of functional decline. Patients with significant renal comorbidity experienced a greater decline compared to those without. The findings suggest that longitudinal renal function after PN generally follows the natural ageing process.
