In a qualitative study of 16 women with recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTIs), major themes included emotional distress, stigma, invalidated concerns, and lack of prevention knowledge. Barriers to care—especially limited specialist access and financial burden—were common across age groups. Findings highlight the urgent need for more empathetic, accessible care pathways to improve the rUTI experience for affected women.
