The study assessed whether polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) heightens adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes in women undergoing frozen embryo transfer (FET). Over 2,900 patients were evaluated, revealing that PCOS patients experienced significantly higher rates of gestational diabetes, hypertension, preterm rupture of membranes, cervical length shortening, and low birth weight. Additionally, PCOS patients with hyperandrogenism had a notably higher incidence of cervical length shortening. The findings suggest increased monitoring and counseling may be necessary for women with PCOS undergoing FET.
