Pralsetinib Shows Promise for RET Fusion-Positive NSCLC

Pralsetinib, a selective RET-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, was evaluated in a study involving 36 patients with advanced RET fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who had previously undergone platinum-based chemotherapy. The analysis, conducted revealed that pralsetinib achieved a median progression-free survival (PFS) of 10.7 months and a median overall survival (OS) of 21.2 months. The overall response rate (ORR) was 55.6%, and the disease control rate (DCR) was 72.2%. Pralsetinib was well tolerated, with most adverse events being mild to moderate. Serious adverse events included lymphopenia (13.9%), hypertension (11.1%), and leukopenia (8.3%). The findings suggest that pralsetinib offers significant efficacy and a favorable safety profile for this patient population.
