The study analyzed 253 participants to investigate NAD+ metabolism in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Reduced NAD+ levels were observed in RA samples, correlated with disease severity. Anti‐TNF therapy positively influenced NAD+ levels and clinical response in a subgroup of patients. Experiments on RA patient cells showed NAD+ boosters, like nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide, improved cellular status. The study suggests targeting NAD+ could lead to potential therapeutic options for RA.
