A novel prognostic model for predicting long-term visual acuity in pediatric patients with bilateral congenital cataracts (CC) shows promise. Factors such as age at cataract extraction, intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, and the absence of nystagmus significantly influence outcomes. The model demonstrated good discrimination accuracy, aiding clinical decision-making by identifying optimal surgical timing to enhance visual outcomes in affected children.
