
This study investigated the role of pre-thrombolytic high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in predicting the safety and effectiveness of intravenous thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients. A total of 212 patients were analyzed, and they were divided into high hs-CRP (>1.60 mg/L) and low hs-CRP (≤1.60 mg/L) groups. The high hs-CRP group had a smaller improvement in NIHSS scores and a lower rate of good thrombolysis response than the low hs-CRP group. Logistic regression analysis revealed that hs-CRP >1.60 mg/L was negatively associated with a good thrombolysis response.
