PRESERFLO vs NPDS: One-Year Glaucoma Surgery Outcomes Compared

In the one-year retrospective cohort, both PRESERFLO™ MicroShunt (PF) and Non-Penetrating Deep Sclerectomy (NPDS) significantly reduced intraocular pressure in glaucoma patients. However, PF had higher surgical failure and major reintervention rates despite shorter surgery times. NPDS, though technically demanding and needing more minor postoperative procedures, resulted in fewer major complications and greater overall surgical success, highlighting its long-term advantage.
