Prevalence and risk factors of obstetric violence in the Gaza strip: A retrospective study from a conflict setting

A recent study conducted in the Gaza Strip has shed light on the prevalence and risk factors of obstetric violence (OV) experienced by laboring women over the past five years. Approximately 41.6% of respondents reported experiencing at least one form of OV, including physical, psychological, verbal, and sexual abuse. Delivery in private facilities and prior knowledge of the care provider were identified as protective factors against OV, while women's awareness of OV increased the likelihood of reporting it.
