Promising Results for Felzartamab in Treating Kidney Transplant Rejection

In this Phase 2 trial, patients with antibody-mediated rejection post-transplantation were randomly assigned felzartamab or placebo for 6 months, followed by a 6-month observation period. Felzartamab demonstrated acceptable safety profiles, with fewer adverse events compared to placebo. Notably, felzartamab exhibited higher rates of resolution for antibody-mediated rejection and lower microvascular inflammation scores. However, some patients experienced recurrence post-treatment. Overall, these findings suggest felzartamab holds promise as a therapeutic option for antibody-mediated rejection in kidney transplant recipients.
