This study investigates psychache among Hakka elderly in China, utilizing data from China’s Health-Related Quality of Life Survey for Older Adults 2018. Findings reveal higher psychache frequency and intensity in females and those with poor health, irregular sleep patterns, rural residency, solitary living, lower savings, and lack of medical insurance. Generalized linear regression identifies socio-demographic factors associated with psychache. The study underscores the need for targeted interventions and policy attention to alleviate psychological distress among vulnerable elderly populations.
