P.Z.A. score: A novel clinically significant prostate cancer prediction system with multiparametric MRI and PSA

The study introduced the P.Z.A. score, a novel diagnostic model for clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa). Analyzing data from 956 patients, factors like age, PSA levels, and various ratios were assessed. The P.Z.A. score demonstrated superior discriminatory abilities, with an AUC of 0.824. The nomogram, incorporating PIRADS(P), aPSADPZ(Z), and age(A), exhibited excellent predictive accuracy for csPCa, reducing the risk of misdiagnosis and unnecessary biopsies. External validation further supported the model's reliability. The P.Z.A. score, utilizing easily obtainable data, presents a promising approach to enhance csPCa detection and warrants clinical application.
