Linaclotide showed no severe side effects and had minimal treatment interruptions or discontinuations. Treatment satisfaction and quality of life (IBS-QoL) significantly improved, with IBS-QoL rising from 73.2 to 80.2 over 12 weeks.

As a single-arm study, the findings are descriptive and require controlled confirmation.
