This study analyzed 318 patients with primary salivary gland carcinoma (SGC) to determine recurrence rates, risk factors, and survival outcomes. It found a 21.7% recurrence rate after an average of 38.2 months. Key risk factors for recurrence included positive resection margins, vascular invasion, and tumor location in the submandibular or small salivary glands. The 5-year overall survival rate was 67%, with disease-free survival at 54%.
