This multicenter cohort study investigates surgical interventions for discoid lateral meniscus in pediatric patients. Analyzing data from a large prospectively collected registry, it covers 274 patients (mean age 12.4 years). Meniscal repairs were performed in 55.1%, with 48.5% exhibiting rim instability. Patients <14 years were more likely to have complete discoid, requiring repair, while those ≥14 years often needed additional debridement. This study emphasizes the importance of tailoring surgical approaches based on age, discoid type, and associated pathology for optimal outcomes.
