Remnant cholesterol, but not low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, is associated with intra‐pancreatic fat deposition

A study investigated the relationship between lipid panel components and Intra-Pancreatic Fat Deposits (IPFD). Analyzing 348 participants, researchers found positive associations between remnant cholesterol and triglyceride levels and a negative association with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol regarding total IPFD. These findings suggest potential pathways for enhancing cardiovascular disease outcomes in high-risk individuals through IPFD reduction, offering fresh avenues for intervention.
