The study investigated the impact of demographics and comorbidities on revision endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic rhinosinusitis. The retrospective cohort study of 682 patients found that non-White patients had a 4.9 times higher risk of revision surgery compared to White patients. This association was independent of location and insurance status, and other factors associated with revision surgery included polyposis and high preoperative SNOT-22 scores. The study suggests that race plays an important role in outcomes following revision sinus surgery.
