The incidence of bladder cancer is not stable and will continue to change in the future. Primary prevention efforts are necessary to reduce the burden of bladder cancer. Urinary biomarkers have shown promise in the diagnosis of bladder cancer. It is important to increase awareness of the risk factors and symptoms of bladder cancer, particularly among healthcare professionals and high-risk groups. Research into the associations between lifestyle factors and bladder cancer outcomes is also needed. This review discusses global trends in bladder cancer incidence and mortality, risk factors, and their implications for public health and clinical practice.
