A study analyzed 298 stroke patients, unveiling key risk factors and outcomes. Results indicate a 9% mortality risk for poor outcomes and a 24% chance of recovery. Notably, women over 60 with hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and hemorrhagic stroke face higher odds of transitioning from good to poor outcomes. Diabetes and atrial fibrillation elevate the risk of progressing from poor outcomes to death. These findings emphasize the need for improved clinical control of transition hazards and early interventions for better functional results.
