In this international study of 522 adults with transposition of the great arteries (TGA) and systemic right ventricles (sRV), 24.3% experienced heart failure hospitalization over nearly 18 years. Five clinical variables—age, NYHA class, QRS duration, atrial fibrillation, and RV dysfunction—were used to build a risk score with strong predictive power, helping to identify patients at highest risk for earlier intervention.
