Researchers have assessed multivalent COVID-19 vaccines, SCTV01E and SCTV01C, comparing them with an inactivated vaccine to combat broad-spectrum protection. Between May and October 2022, 1351 participants received these vaccines. Results showed significant increases in neutralizing antibodies against Omicron BA.1, BA.5, and Delta variants for both SCTV01C and SCTV01E, with SCTV01E demonstrating superiority. Safety profiles were similar, with rare, severe adverse events. The study suggests that SCTV01E could be highly effective against multiple variants, indicating its potential as a robust booster dose.
