Seasonal variation of anti‐PD‐1 outcome in melanoma—Results from a Dutch patient cohort

The study explores the impact of seasonal variations on immunotherapy effectiveness in advanced melanoma patients. While previous research suggested a survival benefit for patients initiating immunotherapy during summer in Denmark, a Dutch validation cohort found no similar difference in overall survival. The study emphasizes the importance of validating these findings across international patient cohorts to establish the influence of seasonal factors, part of the exposome, on response to immunotherapy for melanoma. Improved understanding could enhance treatment strategies and outcomes for patients with BRAF wild-type melanoma.
