The clinical study series evaluated a saccharide- and bacteria-enriched serum for its effects on skin barrier recovery after exposure to harsh cleansers, abrasion, and extreme temperatures. Across five intra-individual trials, serum-treated skin showed significantly faster recovery of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and pH compared to untreated areas. The serum also improved resistance to abrasion, supporting its efficacy in repairing and reinforcing the skin barrier under various aggressive conditions.
