The study aimed to develop a set of quality indicators (QIs) for the assessment of care and outcomes for adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) methodology was followed, and five domains of care were identified, including structural framework, diagnosis and risk stratification, initial treatment, follow‐up, and outcomes. A modified Delphi method was used to select a set of 23 main and one secondary QIs for PAH. The QIs can be used to measure adherence to guideline-recommended clinical practice and improve patient outcomes. The study also provides a scientific rationale for the selection of QIs.
