The study found that a higher proportion of both men and women in the high-intensity care group achieved full doses of GDMT compared to the usual care group by day 90. There were no significant differences between men and women in the primary endpoint of heart failure readmission or death at 180 days. These findings suggest that rapid up-titration of GDMT after AHF hospitalization can be implemented similarly for both men and women, resulting in reduced risk of death or heart failure readmission and improved quality of life with a similar safety profile.

The findings improve understanding of electrolyte abnormalities in PHAII and may guide future therapeutic strategies targeting renal potassium handling.

Researchers call for prospective studies using standardized imaging, endoscopy, and molecular analyses to clarify the prevalence and clinical significance of potential upper airway involvement in CPAM.

The findings indicate that CAOs may identify patients at risk of early osteoarthritis and could aid in the diagnosis and management of unstable hips in BDDH.
