The study analyzed data from 2,905 Australian adolescents (aged 14-15) to explore how sex and sexuality moderate the effects of discrimination on oral health. Findings show females and sexually diverse youth had higher oral health impacts, especially sexually diverse females exposed to discrimination based on cultural background or mental health conditions. The results emphasize the crucial role of sex and sexuality in shaping health outcomes for adolescents facing discrimination.
