Single-cell analysis of immune recognition in chronic myeloid leukemia patients

The study investigates immunological control in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients maintaining treatment-free remission post tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) discontinuation. Examining single-cell RNA and T cell receptor (TCR) sequenced samples, the research identifies active natural killer (NK) cells in CML with interactions involving inhibitory LGALS9–TIM3 and PVR–TIGIT. Additionally, a classifier detects TCRs targeting leukemia-associated antigen PR1, emphasizing the prevalence of anti-PR1 T cells in CML, particularly in patients maintaining TFR.
