
According to the study, chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is associated with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) and has a greater negative impact on quality of life compared to CRS without nasal polyps and cystic fibrosis (CF). Although PCD and CF both involve problems with the clearance of mucus by cilia, the severity of symptoms in the nasal and sinus regions differs between the two conditions.
