A study explored the impact of a dietary strategy known as 6-hour time-restricted feeding (TRF) on lung cancer progression. The study found that TRF significantly inhibits the growth of lung cancer, reprograms metabolite and gene rhythms, and boosts autophagy. Specifically, the TIM gene plays a crucial role in aligning tumor cell rhythms with those of tumor tissues. Combining TRF with TIM inhibition demonstrates efficacy comparable to chemotherapy in xenograft models.
