The study evaluated 28 patients with de Quervain’s and 14 healthy controls using superb microvascular imaging (SMI). The symptomatic group had significantly larger tendon areas and higher vascular index (2.1% vs. 0%, p < 0.001). SMI showed 89% specificity and 75% sensitivity, with strong correlation to pain levels (rho = 0.731). SMI could serve as a valuable diagnostic tool.
