SRRM2 Modulates mTOR Pathway, Promotes Colorectal Cancer Growth

The study identifies SRRM2 as a key regulator of the mTOR pathway, modulating S6K1 and S6K2 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC). SRRM2 facilitates alternative splicing to enhance S6K2 expression and promotes S6K1 stability through WWP2 regulation. High SRRM2 levels correlate with poor prognosis in CRC, and its overexpression accelerates cancer growth in vitro and in vivo. SRRM2’s role in activating the mTOR-S6K pathway makes it a potential therapeutic target for CRC.
