The review evaluated validation methods for encapsulated fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) by analyzing 44 studies. It identified eight key validation covariables, including donor selection, microbial count, and clinical outcomes. A comprehensive model for quality assessment was developed, focusing on processing, content analysis, and clinical effects. However, no study presented a reproducible capsule protocol, highlighting the need for standardization in FMT capsule processing and validation. Future studies should report these factors for accurate comparative assessments.
