Stress Hyperglycemia Ratio Predicts LV Systolic Dysfunction in Peripartum Cardiomyopathy

A study assessing 78 patients with peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) found that the Stress Hyperglycemia Ratio (SHR) can predict persistent left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction. An SHR of ≥1.079 showed high sensitivity and specificity in identifying patients at risk, emphasizing its potential role in early intervention for better outcomes in PPCM management.
