A cross-sectional study assessed stroke risk in survivors of head and neck cancers (HNC). Among 9803 survivors, 3.4% developed stroke over a median follow-up of 42.5 months. Overall, survivors had a 2.46-fold increased risk of stroke compared to the general population, with higher risks among younger individuals and those undergoing primary radiation treatment. Stroke risk varied across age, subsites, and treatment modalities, emphasizing the need for early screening and intervention in HNC survivorship strategies.
