A study on 168 men with Peyronie’s disease undergoing shockwave therapy revealed that those with normal testosterone levels experienced better outcomes than those with low levels. After 3 months, the group with normal testosterone showed an 80.4% resolution of pain compared to 54.9% in the low testosterone group. Eugonadal men also exhibited a significant reduction in curvature degree. These findings suggest considering testosterone therapy for Peyronie’s disease before shockwave treatment.
